April 21, 2011 - Banner Engineering  introduces WORLD-BEAM Q20FF fixed-field background suppression photoelectric sensors. Q20FF delivers enhanced sensing capabilities with visible red, fixed field background suppression and a sensing range up to 6 inches (150 mm). With the Q20FF, Banner’s Q20 sensor series can now solve an increased number of sensing applications in a variety of industries, such as material handling, robot assembly, food and beverage and pharmaceutical goods.

The WORLD-BEAM Q20 series offers a complete product line of high performance sensors in rectangular housings. The Q20FF adds to this growing series, providing superior optical performance in a world-wide standard sensor housing with 25.4 mm (1 inch) mounting hole spacing. Models are available with 2, 4, or 6 inch sensing ranges.

Additional key features of the compact WORLD-BEAM Q20FF include:

• IP67/NEMA 6 & NEMA PW12 1200 PSI washdown rated
•  Metallic M8 and M12 connectors on “QD” models with a threaded connection to the cord-set
• DC operation from 10 to 30 VDC with complementary solid-state outputs (1 normally open, 1 normally closed); PNP (sourcing) or NPN (sinking) by
• Complete offering of mounting brackets and apertures available
