| Xycom Automation Announced Hazardous Location Compliance on 5015T Touch Monitor |
Saline, MI March 12, 2003 Xycom Automation, Inc., a subsidiary of Pro-face America, Inc. and a market leader in Industrial PCs, announces the release of the 5015T flat panel touch monitor now with hazardous location compliance and optional 24VDC input power. The 5015T is a low cost, high-performance, 15" LCD touch monitor suitable for demanding plant floor applications as well as Class I, Division 2, Groups A, B, C & D and Class II, Division 2, Groups F and G Hazardous Location installations. Based on Sharp's latest "all-in-one smart panel" technology, the 5015T displays images with resolutions up to 1024 x 768 pixels with refresh rates up to 75Hz. With a typical brightness of 300 nit, 400:1 contrast ratio and 170° viewing angles, the 5015T produces outstanding image quality. Its state-of-the-art integral scaling engine allows lower resolution images, such as 640 x 480 and 800 x 600 to be smoothly stretched to fill the full 15" LCD viewing area. The 5015T is built using all metal construction and features a powder coated precision die cast aluminum front bezel that meets NEMA 4/4X/12 sealing requirements. In addition to panel mounting, the 5015T may be attached to any VESA 75 mm standard mounting arm. Screen adjustment controls are conveniently located on the front bezel and can be disabled via a lock out switch located on the rear of the monitor. An anti-glare analog resistive touchscreen is standard on all 5015T's. All monitors are shipped with ten foot VGA and serial cables, mounting hardware, touchscreen driver software and user manual. Orders may be placed for immediate delivery. The 5015T is a state of the art industrial flat panel monitor offered at a very competitive price, explains Greg Chandler, Business Unit Manager, Flat Panel Monitor Products. When you consider its best in class LCD, compact and rugged enclosure design, and robust agency certifications including hazardous location compliance, the 5015T offers the best value in a 15 panel mount touch monitor available today anywhere.
