| Yokogawa Introduces FA-M3 R Programmable Logic Controller |
Newnan, GA -- Yokogawa Corporation of America is pleased to introduce the FA-M3 R, a sophisticated and powerful programmable logic controller (PLC) platform offering exceptional speed, reliability, and performance advantages over similar systems. The FA-M3 R fills an important role for customers who require very high processing speeds and/or the flexibility to grow a system from small to large with no future requirement to replace existing hardware. FA-M3 R system advantages include: * Ultra-Fast Processing Speed; Fast scan time of 20,000 steps/mS; yields productivity improvements in high speed-critical applications. * Compact Size; The small footprint design a system for any size application with room for expansion. additional modules, improve safety and reduce costs by minimizing the control panel size. * Universal I/O Modules; Up to 8192 points and up to 310K word program capacity. * Remote OME on Internet; Provides remote operation maintenance and engineering (OME TM) via an Ethernet connection; supports diagnostics and email alarm notification. * Software Programming Tool; Uses object ladder method with blocks and macros that can be coded independently for increased code reusability. Also supports data exchange with other Windows-based applications. * Temperature Control / PID Module; Dedicated PID modules provide fine control at high speed, with high accuracy and high resolution. Built-in SUPER CONTROL suppresses overshooting using fuzzy logic theory to deliver improved control. * Position Modules with Multi-channel Pulse Output; Provides fast start up for smooth, synchronized control. * Memory Card Module; Compact flash (CF) media can be used to save CPU module settings and ladder program files. * Ethernet and PROFIBUS-DP Interface Modules; Provides communication capability to the PC environment and field devices.
