Houston, Texas - Yokogawa Corporation of America announced today that it would hold an R&D Technology Innovation Fair in conjunction with its seventh annual Yokogawa User Group Meeting. Scheduled for November 29-December 1, 2006, at the Hilton Americas Hotel in Houston, Texas, the event will feature Yokogawa Electric Corporation President and CEO, Isao Uchida, as a keynote speaker and offer attendees a glimpse into the heart of Yokogawa R&D developments.

“We think this will be the perfect opportunity for Yokogawa to show the world who we are and what we do,” said David Johnson, President and COO of Yokogawa Corporation of America. “Yokogawa is involved in many technologies world wide – industrial automation is certainly our core but it’s our diversity in other areas that is one of our greatest strengths. Discoveries in these other technologies enable us to improve and achieve quantum leaps in our instruments and systems innovations.

“For years, Yokogawa has been what can only be described as reserved in promoting their advanced technologies. This will no longer be the case. Last year in Tokyo we shared our innovations with over 7,000 visitors during our 90th anniversary celebration. The revelations and depth of that event continue to have an impact today. It’s time to bring the show to North America.”

The conference is designed for current and future users of Yokogawa products and solutions in a number of industries including Chemical, Pharmaceutical, Power, Refinery, Petrochemical and Upstream Oil & Gas. Attendees will be able to view technologies from Yokogawa R&D from the past, present and future as well as see the latest innovations from Yokogawa’s partners. The Technology Fair will be free to the public.

Combined with the Technology Innovation Fair will be the seventh annual User Group Conference. Users will participate in informative technical workshops presented by peers and Yokogawa experts, share-problem-solving approaches, see how Yokogawa automation solutions deliver measurable results and discuss practical applications of existing and new technologies.
