Introduction
This week we added a new search
function to our Web site. This search function is powered
by Google and allows you to search either within
Automationtechies.com or the entire Web. Since Google
sends us, by far, the most amount of traffic each month, I felt
this was an obvious addition. The Google search box can be
found in the upper right-hand corner of all of our site pages.
Feel free to use the search box below to find specific
information on our site or on the Web. Happy searching!
Our featured article this week,
Using Global Resources to Succeed, was written by Jim Pinto.
In the article, Jim discusses the "realities" of offshore
manufacturing and design. Many people believe China is
poised to take over the world's manufacturing. India
currently sells between $6-8 billion worth of software to the US
annually. Companies that can utilize global resources
effectively will generate growth and success. Read this
week's article to find out the three keys for success.
Check out this week's sponsor, STI,
for the latest
Guide to Machine and Process Safeguarding. We're also
featuring
Opto 22's OptoInfo CD as a great resource for automation and
control products and information.
And, as usual, don't forget to
review the
Product Announcements,
Company News and Job Postings added to our site in the last week.
On to the good stuff...Enjoy the rest of this e-news!

Subscription Referral Promotion
Between now and June 30, 2004, we are running a subscription
referral promotion. Here's how it works...Refer five
colleagues to subscribe to our web site and your name will go in
a drawing for the $500 gift certificate from
www.webcertificate.com.
This gift certificate functions just like a MasterCard and can
be used anywhere MasterCard is accepted on the Web.
Enter as many times as you like. But, for each entry you
will be required to submit the 5 e-mail addresses of colleagues
that have subscribed during the promotion period. And yes,
the colleagues must be industrial automation, process control or
instrumentation professionals (we'll verify them).
The following link is where your
colleagues can subscribe:

To get your name entered in the
drawing for the $500.00 certificate, you must complete and
submit the following simple form:
