Hello everyone,
I can't believe it's March already. Spring is just around the corner and so are a few Industrial Automation trade shows.
National Manufacturing Week(NMW) is at McCormick Center in Chicago next week, March 7 -10. We were hoping to be a sponsor of the Industrial Automation portion of the show this year, but we couldn't strike up an arrangement with Reed Exhibitions in time. As it turns out, I wouldn't have been able to attend anyway with the recent addition of a new baby. But, for others unable to attend, we'll do our best to publish the latest product releases on our site as soon as possible.
A brand new show this year is SPS Electric Automation America on May 24 -26 in Rosemount (Chicago suburb), IL, hosted by Messe Frankfurt. It's the first specialized event in the USA focusing on industrial automation technologies. I'm proud to say we are a sponsor for this inaugural event...look for our name on the lanyards attached to each show badge. For more information about this new show, check out this week's announcement.
The World renowned Hannover Fair is April 11 - 15 in Hannover, Germany. This show attracts a whopping 193,000 visitors, with 92,000 visitors attending the Factory Automation portion of this show alone. I have yet to attend this show, but it's definitely on my must-do list. I understand it's quite incredible! When you see Automation.com as a sponsor of this fair, you'll know we've hit the big time.

This week's featured article, What's in your Server?, was written by Rich Merritt of Control Magazine. Rich assembled a timely list of tips and techniques you can use to build a fortress to secure your data and protect your control system from intruders.
