We'd Like to Hear from You

From One Techie to Another

Hello everyone,

We've got a very busy week in the works here. Today, we're getting ready to launch our redesigned web site. Bare with us...it may not go live until this evening (hopefully). We're very excited about this new look and believe it will be easier to navigate. Take a look and let me know what you think.

This week's featured article, Practical Robots for the Home, was written by Jim Pinto. Jim takes a light-hearted look at a practical robot available for home use today. This robot may even meet the expectations of the most scrutinizing critic...your wife. I'm personally waiting for a robot designed to clean the bathroom!

In this issue, we're featuring Pepperl+Fuchs, Sensors Selection Guide, with selection guidelines, specifications, dimensions and wiring diagrams for their full line of capacitive sensors, inductive sensors, special sensors, ultrasonic sensors, photoelectric sensors, cord sets, amplifiers, counters, timers and controls, and accessories.

Our Featured Products in this issue are Omron's Temperature Limit Switch, Advantech Automation's Industrial Ethernet Switches and Banner's PresencePLUS® P4 EDGE Vision Sensor. If you haven't seen our Featured Products for March, please be sure to review our Featured Product page.

And, as usual, don't forget to review the new Product Announcements, Company News, Application News and Job Postings added to Automation.com site in the last week.

Enjoy the rest of this e-news!

Rick Zabel
