We'd Like to Hear from You

From One Techie to Another

Hello everyone,

One of the hot new topics is RSS, at least it seems like a hot topic for some publishers. RSS allows a site like Automation.com to make its latest news headlines available to other sites and/or RSS Aggregators. As a user, you can download an RSS Aggregator and configure it to collect news from the sources you specify. The Aggregator basically sits on your desktop and notifies you when there is any new news from the sources your specify.

This week, I went through the process of downloading an RSS Aggregator to see how it worked for myself. I must say, it was pretty easy to set up. You can read more or download an RSS Aggregator at http://blogspace.com/rss/readers.

My question is this...how many people would actually take advantage of RSS? Let me know what you think. Please visit our Automation News page and answer our poll question in the left-hand margin. Your input will help us determine if we should offer an RRS news feed to our subscribers and site visitors. Or, if you have any comments about RSS, please don't hesitate to contact me.

Enjoy the rest of this e-news!

Rick Zabel
