From One Techie to Another
Hello everyone, Fulfilling the Promise of Automation...that's exactly what suppliers, like Schneider Electric, are doing to stay competitive. Automation goes much further than PLCs on the factory floor...automation includes drives, sensing devices, HMI software and goes all the way up to the business system. Manufacturers are looking for complete solutions and many of the big automation product suppliers have shifted their focus from components to systems and services. Over the past year, Schneider Electric's Industrial Automation & Control Division has been realigning to grow their automation business by strengthening its ability to design entire manufacturing systems. It's no longer about the PLC, drives, sensors and HMI. It's about connecting these components to the overall system, and automating and optimizing the ENTIRE manufacturing process.
