| Perform Distributed Motion Control with LabVIEW
Engineers now can program IEEE 1394-based ServoWire SM drives from ORMEC, and CANopen-based Accelnet and Xenus drives from Copley with the LabVIEW graphical development environment.
The new NI SoftMotion Controller provides an easy-to-use soft motion interface between LabVIEW and these drives, thus creating opportunties for engineers to integrate distributed motion with other LabVIEW-powered automation tasks including data acquisition, machine vision, and discrete control.

Online Information Requests
In this electronic World of the Internet and e-mail, it's pretty easy to find information on just about any topic. Remember the old days when you requested more product information by filling out bingo cards from magazines or mailed those cards from the cellophane-wrapped card decks? It's pretty obvious that no one does that anymore. Today, the information request forms are all online. But, how well do they work?
We'd like your input on those online request forms, so we put together a short little survey about requesting product information online at: http://www.automation.com/sitepages/pid2069.php.
As an online information source for the automation industry, we are always looking for ways to improve information access. For starters, we never make people register to access any information on our site. Sure, we'd love to know who is coming to our site for information, but I never believed in making people register, like some other sites do. Instead, we make the information readily available and leave it up to you to contact the suppliers if you need more information. If you're an avid user of our site, you know that we provide links to information request forms for those suppliers who are advertising with us. Otherwise, we provide direct links to suppliers' sites where you can request more information.
Please take a minute to complete our Online Information Request Survey at: http://www.automation.com/sitepages/pid2069.php. Your input will help us and product suppliers better serve your information needs.
Thanks in advance for your feedback! Enjoy the rest of this eNews!
