What makes the Automation Majors tick?
Most of you probably have one or more preferred vendors for automation products. So, why did you pick the company or companies that you currently buy products from? Do they offer the best products or the best service? Do you really like your sales and/or support person? Do they offer the most competitive prices? Did your management partner with the company because of some strategic direction? Or, have you always used that company's products? Your reasons could include some, all or none of these reasons. But, how much do you really know about the corporate culture of your chosen vendor(s).

In the upcoming issues of this eNews, Jim Pinto, our regular article contributor, will explore a few of the automation majors and give you some insight to what makes each company tick. Jim is pretty well connected in the automation industry and much of his information comes directly from executives and managers of these various companies.

Jim's first overview is of Schneider Electric - Aggressive French Giant.
