The NI PCI-6230 isolated M Series DAQ board features analog and digital I/O lines with built-in digital isolation for direct connectivity to industrial sensors. The NI PCI-7390 position (pulse) command motion controller with built-in isolation offers direct connectivity to popular motion drives, including Yaskawa Sigma II, Mitsubishi MR-J2S and Panasonic Minas A, and provides advanced synchronization capabilities with NI vision and DAQ hardware. From One Techie to Another
Corporate Cultures Part 4, Hannover or Bust If you've had the pleasure of working with National Instruments, you'll know they are a first-rate company. I've personally worked with NI for more than three years and I'm nothing less than impressed. Their secret for success has to do with people. The NI culture emphasizes individuality, respect, growth and ownership. NI continues to foster a family-friendly, open and fun atmosphere. NI is not just an instrumentation company anymore. For the past few years they have had real focus on automation and control with a very solid product offering that includes Programmable Automation Controllers, Distributed I/O, Motion Control, Machine Vision, HMIs and Industrial Touch Panels. If you haven't checked out their products lately, take a minute to browse www.ni.com. NI is headquartered in Austin, Texas and I'd bet their location has something to do with their success. Austin is a city with a heart and with a soul. Cosmopolitan, yet unpretentious. Thriving cultural scene and vibrant nightlife. High-tech, low-key. Big city, college town. Quirky and far from ordinary. If you've never been to Austin, maybe you should make a trip there in August (hint, hint). This year, a colleague and I were invited by Hannover Fair USA to join their US Press Tour. Tonight, we fly to Amsterdam where the tour starts with a visit to Deloitte Cyber Center. Deloitte is one of the most advanced, best equipped and most secure cyber centers in the world. Then, we take the train to Hannover where we will spend a few action-packed days at the show. This is my first trip to Amsterdam (outside of the airport) and Germany, so I'm really looking forward to the show and seeing some of the sights. On our last day, we are heading up to historic Berlin...it's sure to be a thrill. I'd like to thank our hosts, Hannover Fair USA and American Power Conversion (APC), for inviting us to be a part of the tour.
