The 12 Product Portals of Automation

I bet you thought I was going to write another poem to the tune of the 12 Days of Christmas. Nope, not this time. But, if you missed my recent attempts at poetry, check out the December 20 and January 3 issues of this e-newsletter. Sorry, I just had to plug them one more time.

But, seriously, the team at Automation.com has embarked on a unique mission - to create 12 product portals on our site. The goal of these portals is to better organize and distribute, by topic, the plethora of automation information available across the Web.

The product portals currently underway are:

    • Automatic Identification
    • Automation Software
    • Building Automation
    • Fieldbus Networks
    • Industrial Communications
    • Industrial I/O
    • Machine Control
    • Process Control
    • Machine & Process Safety
    • Motion Control, Motors & Drives
    • Sensors & Instruments
    • Wireless Connectivity

Each portal will contain topical information on new products, events, training, application stories, catalogs, resources and articles. The really unique part of these portals is they will not only include articles hosted on Automation.com, but they will also include articles hosted on dozens of other industry sites. As a result, Automation.com will become the only true portal site for the automation industry. Plus, each portal will have a unique RSS feed associated with it, so you can easily stay up to date with the latest information regarding any of the topics.

Along with these portals, we will be publishing a monthly (every 4-6 weeks) newsletter focused on each topic. As Automation.com subscribers, you will automatically receive each of these topical newsletters. However, you will have the option to unsubscribe from any topic(s) you do not wish to receive. To review your subscription and edit your preferences, please click here.

The first of the topical newsletters on Motion Control, Motors & Drives will be sent out tomorrow.

Stay tuned to for more information on these exciting new product portals and topical e-newsletters.

As always, we look forward to better serving your information needs.

Enjoy the rest of this eNews!
