BACnet Web Site
Provides the latest information on BACnet data communication protocol for building automation and control networks. Developed under the auspices of ASHRAE, BACnet is an American national standard, a European standard, a national standard in more than 30 countries, and an ISO global standard.
NIST Multizone Modeling Web site
Tools from the National Institutes of Standards and Technology (NIST) predict airflows and contaminant concentrations in multi-zone building systems. It is based on a graphic interface that allows users to draw floor plans on a sketchpad and employ icons to represent airflow paths, ventilation-system components, and contaminant sources.
Emissions & Generation Resource Integrated Database
EPA’s eGRID is a comprehensive inventory of environmental attributes of electric power systems. eGRID is based on available plant-specific data for all U.S. electricity generating plants that provide power to the electric grid and report data to the U.S. government. eGRID contains air emissions data for nitrogen oxides, sulfur dioxide, carbon dioxide, and mercury.

One of the largest building materials suppliers in the UK is benefiting from higher efficiency operation and a short ROI on the fitment of large inverter drives fitted on exhaust fans at six of the company’s UK asphalt coating plants, Calculated savings predict a payoff period of just over a year and a half for the largest of the drives, a 150kW unit.
