CSB Releases Hot Work Safety Video  
The U.S. Chemical Safety Board (CSB) released a 14-minute safety video warning of the hazards of welding and other hot work activities in and around storage tanks containing flammable materials. Hot work is defined as burning, welding, or similar spark-producing operations that can ignite fires or explosions.

Safety systems for Ethylene cracker complex

1600 safety interlocking devices from Netherlocks have been successfully installed at the Shell Eastern Petroleum (SEPL) Ethylene Cracker Complex in Pular Ular, Singapore. The main applications for the interlocks are for the decoking process, and on isolation valves for PSVs (Pressure Safety Valves).

ABB adds SIS to Natural gas dehydration facility

When Workarounds Backfire
