Machine Vision Guides Van Assembly Assembly, October 2008
Sistemas Automatizacion Procesos in Barcelona, Spain, built an assembly and inspection cell to process structural subassemblies for a new van assembly line using a vision-guided robot with an In-Sight 5100 camera from Cognex attached to the end of its arm. The inspection camera determines the position of each inspection point and then transmits this information to the robot, which adjusts its movements accordingly.
