Chicago Structure Unveils New BAS Using Contemporary Controls’ Skorpion Switches

Due to overall lifetime costs of one of Chicago’s downtown structures, the customer implemented a plan to upgrade the 500,000 sq ft building three years ago. The redesign process was in an effort to save energy, facilities maintenance, and personnel costs. The return-on-investment was achieved by installing a dedicated building automation network using Contemporary Controls’ industrial-grade Ethernet Skorpion switches, eliminating the hard to maintain outdated existing DDC system.
