Research Triangle Park, NC (March 2, 2007) - ISA announced today that its 4th annual Safety Division Symposium will be held 22-23 May at the Wyndham Mount Laurel in Mount Laurel, New Jersey.

The symposium will feature in-depth presentations about the industry's latest safety technologies and procedures. The conference will give attendees an opportunity to learn from industry experts and instructors in the areas of safety instrumented systems, alarm management, and cyber security. Conference sessions and training courses will focus on the design and implementation of real life applications in maintaining safety systems.

On 22 May, the event will host two training courses on these topics. "Safety Instrumented Systems: The Must Know for Implementation" covers technology, levels of redundancy in the design of safety instrumented systems, testing of systems, and the use of field devices.

The second course, "Securing Industrial Networks: Cyber Protection for Automation, Control, and SCADA Systems," will focus on the basics of cyber security. The course will help attendees evaluate their computerized factory automation, process control, and SCADA networks for vulnerability to hackers, spies, and saboteurs. Attendees will learn how to apply the latest techniques in cyber security to their industrial networks.

In addition to the conference sessions and training courses, the event will feature a vendor exhibition in the evening on 22 May.
