March 19, 2007 - ServoSoft adds the Slider Crank mechanism, which considers the dynamically changing inertia, thrust and gravity effects for the Crank, Connecting Rod and Load Mass for any given motion profile. The motion profile can be specified at the Load (linear), or at the Crank (rotary).
Thrust Formula allows users to model complex dynamic loads that can be a function of position, distance, velocity, acceleration and time, and use arithmetic (+,-,*,/) and math functions such as square root, exponential functions, sine, cosine, log, absolute, etc. Program any formula to model any thrust load that can be represented as a formula.
Couplings are the newest expansion to the ServoSoft database, along with added support for a centrally shared network database, allowing all users within a company to work from the same database file.
ServoSoft’s EasySize Wizard walks users through each step of the servo system sizing process. Helpful hints are displayed at each step. Each time the user clicks 'Next', the main form follows the wizard so that the user can see how ServoSoft is organized and eventually, learn to navigate without the wizard. At anytime, the user can launch the wizard, jump to any step or exit the wizard.
Almost immediately, the EasySize Wizard helps new users work effectively with ServoSoft. The wizard helps users navigate around ServoSoft, and quickly get the feel of the program. It is also helpful for users who come back to work with ServoSoft after a period of time. The wizard quickly gets them reacquainted with the program and back to sizing servo systems.
