| Intermec introduces Skynax R6 platform for mobile communications |

EVERETT, Wash., June 19, 2007 - Intermec (NYSE: IN) introduces Skynax R6, a software-based solution that provides a unified platform for mobile communications, data management, remote device management and security in mobile computing systems. Skynax saves both time and money by allowing companies to reduce the complexity and cost typically associated with purchasing, implementing, managing and orchestrating multiple point solutions in order to operate and maintain their mobile computing system over its life-cycle. Intermec collaborated with GATC, a privately-held software development company and Intermec Premier Honours Partner, to create this new generation of software.
Skynax enables highly-scalable, fault-tolerant and secure mobile data communications through WWAN mobile phone networks, WLAN, wired Ethernet and dial-up connections. Its advanced communications handling capabilities are leveraged through a distributed, server-based architecture that provides a framework for extensible and reusable data management components. These customizable components are used to control the flow of business data (exchange and process files, remotely query and manipulate records in an SQL database and even handle streaming data) between mobile business applications and back-office business data repositories located in a company's internal network.
In addition, complete, remote device management functionality is available within Skynax through an easy to use Microsoft Windows based management console. This allows IT managers to have central control over detailed handheld computer configurations, remotely install system and application software, and monitor end-to-end system performance. The "set and forget" feature means device settings are consistent and persistent throughout the mobile computing system.

Companies using Intermec's 6920 Communications Server can take advantage of a specially designed Intermec Mobile Migration Plug-In that provides an easy migration path to this new Skynax platform. Skynax R6 with the Intermec Mobile Migration Plug-in is marketed and sold exclusively through Intermec.
Skynax is available in an Entry Edition, Standard Edition and Enterprise Edition to meet various business needs for scalability and performance.
