Phoenix Contact announces UHF Radios
June 26, 2007 - MIDDLETOWN, Pa. - Phoenix Contact’s new industrial digital UHF Wireless Radio modem products provide protected FCC-licensed wireless communication and an unprecedented level of data protection. The UHF industrial radios are the first of their kind to feature collision avoidance, packet-error checking and security with AES 128-bit encryption, making it one of the most advanced licensed radio modems available today.

Each radio is equipped with remote network diagnostics, while intuitive user-friendly software allows the network owner full control and management of their system. The radios can support multiple protocols and multiple host stations using the same frequencies, a first in the industry with UHF technology.

Two versions are available, one with advanced features and the other an economical standard version. Both are compatible with one another.

Phoenix Contact is a leader in electrical connection, electronic interface and industrial automation technologies. Phoenix Contact USA, located in Middletown, Pa., is a subsidiary of Phoenix Contact GmbH & Co. KG of Blomberg, Germany. The company operates 40 subsidiaries and employs more than 8,400 people around the world.
