Taipei, Taiwan, July 6, 2007 -- AXIOMTEK unveils a high performance, cost-effective 3.5-inch embedded computing platform – SBC84602. The low power embedded board supports VIA Mark CoreFusion 800/533 MHz processor onboard with facilitating silent, fanless operation design. The integrated Graphics features three display output including LVDS, CRT, TTL LCD. Along with native x86 performance and advanced hardware benefits, the embedded single board computer is extremely suitable for embedded and industrial automation applications with small, cost effective LCD display industries.
The SBC84602 supports VIA Mark CoreFusion processor onboard and offers high performance, cost-effective, and power efficiency. The complete chipset consists of the Mark CoreFusion processor including CPU and Twister-T North Bridge in a single package, and a VT82C686B South Bridge. The onboard TTL LCD interface supports TFT LCD as well as STN/DSTN LCD modules. Besides, the embedded platform offers full legacy support through ISA (Industry Standard Architecture) and provides usability of up to four COM ports, four USB 1.1a ports, and one PC/104 expansion interface.
Integrating the S3 Graphics ProSavage4 graphics core, the SBC84602 boasts a video capture port and display resolutions of up to 1600 x 1200 pixels. The flexible display function is supported by integrated Graphics controller which allows users to configure both CRT and TTL LCD or CRT and LVDS LCD as simultaneous mode. In addition to regular 4:3 resolutions like 640 x 480, 800 x 600, 1024 x 768, 1280 x 1024 and 1600 x 1200, the integrated Graphics controller can also support special resolutions like 1366 x 768 for 16:9 LCD, 640 x 240 half VGA and 320 x 240 quarter VGA.

The 3.5-inch embedded board features a low power design and supports one 144-pin SODIMM system memory up to 512 MB. Furthermore, the SBC84602 is equipped with rich I/O features including four USB 1.1a ports, four +5V or +12V powered COM ports (one with RS-232/422/485 auto-flow control, three with RS-232), dual Fast Ethernet (optional in Gigabit), SMBus for battery monitoring, CompactFlash type II with DMA mode, AC'97 Codec Audio with amplify, one PATA-100 and one PC/104 interface.
