July 18, 2007 - SCL Manager 3.0.0 supports Substation Configuration, Multiple ICD Support, IEC 61850 Client Support and Tabular and Single Line Diagram representation of IEC 61850 Objects and Sub-station devices.
Kalkitech SCL Manager is a comprehensive graphical tool that allows user to create, configure, view, edit all the substation elements and its data models as specified in Substation Configuration Language specification of IEC 61850. SCL Manager enable users to configure a 61850 Substation and all its elements and make your substations IEC 61850 compliant.
SCL Manager completely removes the complexity of engineering and configuring the IEC 61850 Substation architecture and devices away from the user and gives the user friendly graphical interface for configuration and substation architecture definition. It allow users to build different substation architectures, configure the various elements and create the Substation Configuration Description (.SCD) XML file, System Specification Description (.SSD) XML file and IED Capability Description (.ICD) XML file without having to know the XML representation as given in the standard. It also allows user to use the inbuilt logical node templates to create complete data model with very minimal reference to IEC 61850-7-3 & 7-4 standards. User can also make use of “Combine ICDs,” “IED Data Templates” functionalities available in the tool to easily create complete substation configuration from available ICD files. You can use the same for configuring any of the IEC61850 server devices, which supports SCL data presentation. SCL Manager tool has functionality to validate any of the SCL files.
