Research Triangle Park, NC – July 30, 2007 - ISA's 2nd Annual Marketing & Sales Summit: A Who's Who in the Industry will be held 5-7 September at the Hyatt Regency O'Hare in Chicago. Sponsored by ISA's Management Division, Automation.com, Control, Control Engineering, and Automationworld.com, the Summit is designed exclusively to help marketing and sales executives in the automation market meet the strategic and tactical challenges of the 21st century.

The conference will provide two and a half days of keynotes, plenaries, and breakout sessions on such topics as Key Performance Indicators, Communications Strategies, Sales Channel Management, Search Engine Marketing and Interactive Media, including podcasts, RSS feeds, and videocasts. World class speakers will be on hand to discuss aspects of marketing and sales in the automation and control markets, providing the audience with relevant facts, achievable results, and tangible benefits.

The plenary speaker for the Industry Analyst Forum, Alison Smith, brings more than 25 years of manufacturing software development, support, marketing, and sales experience to her role as senior research analyst at AMR Research. As a senior analyst in AMR Research's process and manufacturing operations group, Smith is dedicated to the detailed study of the productive application of information technology to the challenges faced by global producers as they seek to implement and evolve demand-driven manufacturing strategies.

Smith publishes frequently on the application of production operations software, including manufacturing execution systems, enterprise manufacturing intelligence, and quality management systems across a range of vertical industry manufacturing scenarios. In addition, throughout her diverse career, she has developed, installed, and supported supervisory control and manufacturing execution systems in a number of Fortune 500 manufacturing environments.

Peter G. Martin, Vice-President of Performance Measurement and Management, Invensys Production Management, will provide the keynote address, "Marketing Outside Ourselves: How to Reach the C-Level Customer and Why We Should."
