Omron appoints Gregg Holst President and COO
SCHAUMBURG, IL August 10, 2007 – Gregg A. Holst has been appointed Omron Electronics LLC’s Chief Operating Officer and President. He assumed the position immediately, filling a 10-month-long vacancy created by the death of the previous COO and President.

As chief operating officer, Holst will direct the marketing, sales, and service operations of Omron Electronics LLC in the United States, Latin America and Canada. Omron’s broad range of industrial automation products includes electronic controls, components and systems.

“Among Holst’s first tasks is increasing Omron’s market penetration to expand growth in both products and services,“ said Omron’s Americas Chief Executive Officer Tatsunosuke Goto in announcing Holst’s appointment. “Customers like Omron products but they do not know us well enough to make Omron their primary automation partner. Gregg Holst has demonstrated great success in communications and will improve the visibility of Omron’s capabilities to contribute to the success and profitability of America’s manufacturers.”

Holst comes to Omron from serving as executive vice president of Revere Electric Supply Company in Chicago since 1993, where he was instrumental in dramatically improving both the sales and the service performance of the company. He worked previously in managerial positions at Square D Company in Palatine, Illinois and at General Electric Company in Fairfield, Connecticut.

Gregg Holst is a graduate of Bradley University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering Technology. He lives with his family in Aurora, Illinois.
