Houston, TX – August 20, 2007 – PAS today announced the opening of its Center of Excellence for the Power Industry in St. Louis, Missouri. The new center will provide best-in-class expertise to power industry customers world-wide in the solution areas of Alarm Management and Automation Configuration Management.

Activity at the new Center of Excellence is jump-started by recently awarded strategic contracts from major regional power companies and the formation of an engineering and projects team with extensive power industry experience. This move further extends PAS’ leadership in the burgeoning market for Alarm Management and Automation Configuration Management solutions in the power industry.

Eddie Habibi, Founder and CEO of PAS, said, “Further strengthening our power industry expertise allows us to accelerate our plans for growth, even beyond the 90% growth rate we are already experiencing in our Alarm Management business year to date. With this new Center of Excellence in place, we look forward to deepening our relationships and value provided to power industry customers around the world.”

PAS has long been the leader in Alarm Management and has authored the industry-standard text on the subject, as published by the ISA, a leading, global, nonprofit organization setting the standards for automation. Its industry leadership position in Alarm Management was recently validated by St. Louis-based Ameren Corporation, who selected PAS' Alarm Management Optimization – Real-Time (AMO-Rt) software for their enterprise-wide alarm management initiative, replacing competitive technology from another vendor.

Additionally, PAS is also the world’s leading provider of a multi-asset Automation Configuration Management solution, with over 100 installations world-wide. The PAS Integrity solution – also sold by Honeywell as DOC4000 – enables closer collaboration of plant operations, maintenance and, safety staff to minimize human error and simplify work processes by providing common access to the configuration information of disparate control systems, databases and advanced applications.
