ifm efector iIntroduces O4 Series photoelectrics
EXTON, PA – August 20, 2007– O4 Series photoelectric sensors offer extremely long sensing ranges up to 50 meters. The O4 photoelectrics are ideal for applications including transporting, conveying, inspection and error-proofing. The extended sensing range enables the sensor to be placed farther away from an application reducing its chance of physical damage. A built-in, stainless steel bracket provides additional protection for the sensor.

The 3-wire Micro DC sensors include a thru-beam pair with a sensing range of 50 meters; a polarized retro-reflective model with a sensing range up to 18 meters; and a diffuse reflective model with adjustable background suppression that offers a range from 50 to 1400 mm.

The sensors feature a two-pushbutton Teach operation that quickly establishes light-on/dark-on programming. An integrated microprocessor provides automatic calibration and can differentiate between the target and the background with minimal distance between the two.

Visible red light technology simplifies set-up and provides quick mounting. The durable connector rotates 270° for alignment in multiple directions. A variety of easy-to-use brackets are available for versatile mounting.

List price for the O4 Series sensors are $70.00 to $98.00 (U.S.). A variety of mounting accessories and reflectors are available as well as Micro DC ecolink cordsets.

ifm efector inc. is a premier technology partner for sensors and controls. Products include proximity switches, photoelectric sensors, fiber optics, condition monitors, speed monitors, pressure sensors, flow sensors, temperature sensors, level sensors, valve position sensors, mobile control solutions, ID systems, AS-i networking and Safety at Work products.
