Natick, MA, August 30, 2007 Cognex announced the MVS-8600e family of frame grabbers that connect Camera Link cameras through the PCI Express (PCIe) interface.

By combining Cognexs industry-leading VisionPro machine vision software with Camera Link cameras and PCIe, customers achieve new levels of performance and value when addressing the most challenging automated inspection and quality assurance applications.
The new Cognex MVS-8600e frame grabbers are available in cost-effective single-channel and dual-channel models that increase throughput even with extremely large images. Like all Cognex frame grabbers, the MVS-8600e models are equipped with the industrys highest performance machine vision software tools that locate objects or patterns, measure their geometric properties, detect defects, and read characters and codes with reliable, accurate and repeatable results.
