September 20, 2007 - A new visual tool has been added to the FOSS Vision software to make it faster and easier to evaluate data. For the user to be able to rapidly assess groupings within an individual product the Principal Component (PC) scores of all samples are now plotted within their respective Mahalanobis Distance ellipses. A spreadsheet with individual scores and ellipse calculation is displayed by a tab selection. The new tool is available whenever a Principal Component algorithm (Mahalanobis Distance) is applied to the data in Qualitative Analysis Sample Selection, Quantitative Analysis Sample Selection, Identification Method Development, and Qualification Method Development.
