Tiger Optics announces HALO+ gas analyzer
Warrington, PA – October 2, 2007 – Tiger Optics unveiled the HALO+, a mini-Cavity Ring-Down Spectroscopy (CRDS) analyzer capable of measuring at parts-per-trillion (PPT) levels. HALO+ is a compact CRDS tool that can analyze moisture in gases down to ultra-low levels with the same unmatched accuracy, speed, repeatability and low cost of ownership for which Tiger Optics analyzers are known worldwide.

The HALO+ addresses the heretofore-unmet need for fast, accurate, calibration-free measurement of moisture in the parts-per-trillion (PPT) to parts-per-million (PPM) range. Companies in industries including semiconductor fabrication, laboratory calibration and industrial process control can now further enhance process efficiency and increase yields by analyzing ultra-high purity gases at levels that previously required far more expensive analyzers. The HALO+ is ideally suited to many challenging processes where accurate moisture measurement is particularly critical, including fixed bulk gas continuous quality control, portable mobile analytical carts, process tool monitoring, air separation and gas cylinder quality control.

“The speed of response, accuracy, and power of Cavity Ring-Down technology are no longer the province of the elite few,” said Lisa Bergson, CEO of Tiger Optics. “With the HALO and the HALO+, now many more companies can access the great performance, low cost-of-ownership, and freedom from calibration high-end users have enjoyed for over half a decade.”

Designated as a transfer standard by many of the world’s leading national laboratories, and addressing over 400 points worldwide, Tiger’s analyzers offer proven performance, enhanced throughput, and greatly reduced cost of ownership. Based on an absolute principle – the Beer-Lambert Law – they do not require costly and frequent calibration. Plus, they require no consumables and are robust and durable, as well as easier to operate than most measurement solutions.

About Tiger Optics
Tiger Optics, LLC leads the way in 21st Century Spectroscopy by bringing to market the world’s first commercial gas analyzers based on patented Continuous Wave Cavity Ring-Down Spectroscopy (CW CRDS) technology. Designated transfer standards by many of the world’s leading national laboratories, Tiger’s cutting-edge gas analyzers offer absolute accuracy, real-time response, high sensitivity and low cost of ownership to meet the most demanding applications in an array of analytes, including moisture, oxygen, methane, acetylene, hydrogen cyanide, formaldehyde and ammonia. With over 400 points in operation, Tiger Optics analyzers are now improving process yields for over 80 companies worldwide in a host of industries, including: semiconductor, laboratory, process control, automotive, industrial and specialty gas. Headquartered in Warrington, PA, Tiger Optics is represented in the United States and internationally by a select group of sales and service organizations highly experienced in gas analysis and well versed in the advantages of CW CRDS technology.
