September 24, 2007 - HUDSON, MA The 3rd generation WiSTAR-R platform is based on use of Adaptives Standard Element Technology (SET) sensor communication and management modules, which provide logical sensor data pre-processing prior to encoding and RF transmission. Using this approach, it is now possible to have one WiSTAR-R wireless node monitor, process and transmit multiple sensor signals using one node channel.
Incorporating the SET embedded logical processing capability, set point control functions can also be performed. The product family is extremely versatile, allowing for many combinations of pressure, temperature, level and flow measurement as well as having the capability of powering on/off control outputs. Intelligent Multi-Variable Wireless Nodes are available in intrinsically safe and explosion proof designs. Ordinary location ratings are also available with NEMA 4X environmental qualification.
Continuing the recognized micro-power performance capabilities of Adaptives first two generations of Industrial Wireless platforms, the 3rd generation platform offers an embedded 20 year battery power source. The product employs advanced battery technology combined with effective power management that delivers a completely self contained capability for continuous measurement, high duty cycle radio communications to a Base Radio gateway as well fast response on/off control output.
