Divelbiss adds OptiCAN network
FREDERICKTOWN, OHIO, September 24, 2007 - Divelbiss announces availability of OptiCAN, a dedicated CAN network protocol which allows all CAN-enabled PLC-on-a-Chip-based products to interact. The basic protocol is now standard in the Divelbiss EZ Ladder software and allows for up to ten (10) nodes in the OptiCAN network. An enhanced add-on provides for expansion of the network to sixty-four (64) nodes.

OptiCAN is designed to be both quick and easy to apply. OptiCAN allows networking of multiple Programmable Logic Controllers which makes distributed control extremely simple to accomplish. OptiCAN can be applied to mobile as well as stationary applications providing further versatility.

PLC on a Chip based controllers that can become nodes in an OptiCAN network include Enhanced Baby Bear, the Harsh Environment Controllers, and PLC on a Chip Control System (PCS) devices. In addition, embedded PLC on a Chip and PLC on a Chip Modules allow various other O.E.M. products to network as well.

Product specifications and complete User's Manuals for these products are available at our web site.
