Phoenix Contact expands DUPLICON electrical products
October 1, 2007 - MIDDLETOWN, Pa. - With the addition of the new T-Box and M12 Adapter Cover, Phoenix Contact’s DUPLICON product range now offers more installation flexibility.

The T-Box is a cost-effective and compact alternative to the stackable power distributor sets. Its contact insert has two screw connections per terminal for looping the power cable. The cable outlet, on the additional stacked housing on the T-Box set, can be plugged in any of the four directions, increasing installation flexibility. A removable cover allows convenient inspection while operating.

The M12 Adapter Cover features four M12 five-position connectors. The female connections are A-coded, and the pre-wired contact insert is ready to "snap-lock" onto the DUPLICON housing. The adapter cover is wired in parallel and can be used as "double occupied."

DUPLICON is a stackable plug-connector system that meets IP67 standards. It is designed for energy distribution in large-scale machinery and systems. The system has six positions plus ground in 24 to 12AWG for 600 V/25 A. The top plug connector has socket contacts on the underside and pin contacts on the upper side. This allows the plug connector to be preassembled and stacked. The EMC-protected design makes combinations of power and 24 V or Asi-Bus/Profibus possible.

Phoenix Contact USA, located in Middletown, Pa., is a subsidiary of Phoenix Contact GmbH & Co. KG of Blomberg, Germany, which operates 40 subsidiaries and employs more than 8,400 people around the world. The company’s Integrated Management Systems include a formal Quality, Environmental and Safety program that meets International Standards Organization’s (ISO) requirements (ISO 9001: 2000, ISO 14001: 2004 and OHSAS 18001:1999).
