Houston, TX - ISA ‘07 — October 2, 2007 —
ICONICS' Hyper-Historian is a high-speed, reliable and robust plant historian product designed to data log up to 50,000 tags per second from multiple data sources including OPC UA Servers, OPC DA Servers, OPC XML DA Servers, BACnet, SNMP, ICONICS TrendWorX32 Server, TrendWorX64 Server and third-party database and plant historians. Hyper-Historian is available as either a stand-alone application or as part of the new GENESIS64 OPC Web-enabled HMI/SCADA suite.

ICONICS Hyper-Historian is fully Web-based, supporting online configuration and modifications. Optional redundant configurations are supported using redundant robust data loggers. The Secure Hyper-Historian also supports Store-and-Forward technology, providing data synchronization with remote sites and data loggers. Tabbed menus, an enhanced Tree view and a built-in OPC data source browser make the Hyper-Historian the most reliable and easy-to-use plant historian in the market. Integration with Windows Communication Foundation (WCF) allows users to build the most secure, reliable, transacted and interoperable distributed data repository applications.

“The new Hyper-Historian is incredibly fast, easy-to-use, robust, secure and Web-configurable,” said Russ Agrusa, President and CEO of ICONICS. “When used in conjunction with ICONICS’ GENESIS64 HMI/SCADA and BizViz Manufacturing Intelligence suites, it enables companies to capitalize on what may have been, until implementing Hyper-Historian, an overwhelming amount of collected data.”

“The Hyper-Historian data logger also features a SQL Server query interface,” said Dave Oravetz, Vice President of Engineering at ICONICS, “that links the Hyper-Historian data to Microsoft SQL Server, giving it a SQL Server look and feel while providing powerful querying capabilities, as well as ease of reporting and access.”

“A real-time enterprise requires synchronization and visualization between business systems and the plant floor to maximize flexibility, productivity, distributed decision making, information, analysis and knowledge”, said Craig Resnick, Research Director at ARC Advisory Group. “Historian software is a critical part of these performance management and visualization requirements, not only in providing historical records but also insight into leading indicators for performance. Using a historian integrated as part of an HMI/SCADA suite, such as Hyper Historian along with GENESIS64, can be beneficial in increasing the number of tags that can be simultaneously handled as well as the number of integrated data sources and the speed of data retrieval and logging.”

ICONICS has deployed more than 225,000 solutions worldwide in a variety of industries including Automotive, Building Management, Food & Beverage, Oil/Gas/Petrochemical, Machine Builders, Pharmaceutical/Biotech, Security, Water/Wastewater, Utilities, Government Infrastructures and more.
