ISA EXPO 2007, HOUSTON, OCTOBER 3, 2007 – GE MDS introduced the MDS NETio-TB, which expands wireless I/O capability into the TransNET product line

The NETio-TB provides MODBUS addressable I/O allowing users to monitor and control their devices without the need for additional PLC or RTU equipment. It also provides signal regeneration capability, which allows users to regenerate I/O signals between one or more devices such as PLCs or RTUs. Signal regeneration capabilities are supported over the WeXP wireless link.

Most importantly, the NETio-TB is fully compatible with new and existing TransNET radio installations. The NETio-TB fully supports the same wireless characteristics of the TransNET including the ability to be deployed as a single unit repeater allowing store and forward data operation to extend the operating range of the network.

The NETio-TB is another example of GE MDS’ ability to lower the costs of monitoring and controlling industrial processes as well as reducing the complexity of your network infrastructure.
