FieldServer introduces SlotServer Fire Alarm interface for ControlLogix
October 5, 2007 - FieldServer Technologies has introduced SlotServer ControlLogix/Fire Alarm Control Panel (FACP) Interface Module enabling a user to interface any major Fire Alarm Control Panel to the Allen Bradley ControlLogix PLC, the most popular PLC used in production plants.

SlotServer enables plant operators to view the ancillary fire alarm information on process control and safety stations while not interfering with the AHJ-approved fire control system. Interfacing Fire Alarm Control Panel information into the process controls and building automation systems provides the plant manager web access to monitor fire control status remotely.

Both plant managers and FACP manufacturers trust FieldServer Technologies to effectively and efficiently provide this seamless interface to their control system. Working closely with every major FACP manufacturer in the United States, FieldServer has developed comprehensive protocol drivers that work with all current and most legacy FACP.

ControlLogix, an Allen Bradley PLC, is a modular, high-performance control platform used for sequential, process, drive and motion control applications. FieldServer Technologies SlotServer is the only solution for an interface from FACP to ControlLogix PLC.

FieldServer Technologies, a division of Sierra Monitor Corporation, is the major producer of gateways used in the fire alarm industry to interface Fire Alarm Control Panels to Process and Building Automation Systems utilizing such protocols as Modbus, Profibus, EtherNet/IP, BACnet and LonWorks. With a driver library of over 80 protocols from both the building automation and the process control industries, FieldServer has the solution to plant and building operators integration challenges.
