CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA, OCTOBER 7, 2007 - GE Fanuc Automation announced the availability of the QuickPanel View Interface Card for Data Highway Plus. This release allows GE Fanuc’s QuickPanel View line of visualization products to communicate with Allen Bradley’s Data Highway Plus local networks.

“The open architecture of QuickPanel View enables communication with the Data Highway Plus network and provides users with all of the benefits found in our visualization products,” said Paul Daugherty, Operator Interface Product Manager for GE Fanuc. “The open communications strategy allows the user to use this Operator Interface connected to a wide variety of systems and networks. It provides the freedom to choose this visualization product no matter what system you may be connecting to.”

The QuickPanel View can easily handle HMI requirements such as sophisticated graphics, alarm logging, recipes, communication to multiple devices, scripting, dial-in / dial-out support, and much more. The Windows CE operating system gives the QuickPanel View hardware the flexibility of a PC at a price point hundreds of dollars less than an industrial computer-based solution.
