Malcom releases Hot Air Process Heating Control System
October 10, 2007 - Turnkey PLC-based process heating control systems for applications such as drying, shrinking, pre-heating substrates, and de-flashing plastic parts are being introduced by Malcom Company, Inc. of Tiverton, Rhode Island.

Malcom Hot Air Process Heating Control Systems include programmable PLCs that can be preconfigured for multiple heat zones, each with independently controlled heaters and/or blowers, and feature redundant safety interlocks. Designed for plug-and-play operation, these hot air process heating control systems include counters, timers, variable air flow speeds, recipes, and more; preconfigured and fully tested for a customer’s specific application.

Designed to integrate with existing production and packaging applications, Malcom Hot Air Process Heating Control Systems can accommodate a variety of heat sources and interface with a customer’s other industrial controllers. Control enclosures can include LCD displays and switches or touch screens, and meet UL508A standards. Systems can be built for up to 12 zones, up to 40 kW and 1000 CFM, and 120-480 V, 1- or 3-phase electrical requirements.

Malcom Hot Air Process Heating Control Systems are priced from $2,995.00 for a 2-zone system. Literature and price quotations are available on request.
