SIXNET expands military Ethernet switch line
October 30, 2007 - SIXNET introduced IP67 military Ethernet switch with rugged D38999 style connectors. The ET-8MS-MIL-1 (Managed) and ET-8ES-MIL-1 (Unmanaged) are high performance 8-port Ethernet switches rated for MIL-STD-810F, MIL-STD-461E, MIL-STD-1275 and more.

The IP67 / NEMA 6 rated package totally protects against dust, water, oil, debris and other environmental hazards found in harsh situations. The MIL-DTL-38999 Series III connectors are proven to protect against vibration, shock, corrosion, water, etc. Another benefit is the multiple mounting positions, making it easy to access the connectors. These switches provide the extreme ruggedness and ultra-reliability needed for military or industrial applications.

Real-time Ethernet performance comes standard with these switches. Each port supports auto-speed/duplex, auto-crossover and auto-polarity for true plug & play connections. Fast wire-speed switching with automatic intelligent routing prevents collisions and delays. The managed models support advanced features such as RSTP, SNMP, QoS/CoS, IGMP, VLAN, security, etc. Dual (redundant) power inputs with MIL-STD-1275 military spike and surge protection are also available.

These military switches are backed by a 20-year support policy and SIXNET's 30+ years of experience designing truly industrial products.

They offer a wide operating temperature range and are ultra-reliable with an estimated 1,000,000+ service free hours (MTBF). Plus with cUL (UL/CSA), CE, FCC, ISO 9001 and hazardous locations, the long term success of your applications is assured.
