| C&K releases LCS sealed snap action switches |

NEWTON, MA (November 8, 2007) - C&K Components developed a new series of miniature sealed snap action switches. Offered in a range of operating forces and ratings, the new single-pole double-throw LCS Series miniature snap action switches are housed in a compact package and feature a wide variety of actuator and termination styles, including quick connect, solder style, PCB through hole and potted wire leads (standard 12” length).
Ideally suited for space-sensitive applications requiring long life and high electrical capabilities, the snap action mechanism provides positive indication and high reliability, with an extended mechanical life of more than 100,000 cycles. The cost-effective switches are specified for use in dispensing equipment, thermostat controls, motor controls, consumer electronics, testing equipment and medical devices, among others.
The LCS Series switches feature contact ratings up to 6A at 125VAC and 3A at 250VAC. Operating force ranges from 60 to 150 grams at the actuator button, with an operating temperature range from -40°C to +105°C. The switch is fully dust and splash proof, and potted wire leads meet IP67 approval. A variety of levers are also available. The LCS Series switch housing is made of high temperature resistant PTS thermoplastic (featuring UL-94V-O rating).
