November 18, 2007 - Aaxeon introduces Industrial Grade RS-422/485 to USB Hubs that support Serial speeds up to 921.6 Kbps.
These USB to Serial Hubs are truly Industrial grade with metal housings, optional Surge Protection and Optical Isolation, and the ability to power from the USB port of the PC. Drivers are available for various Windows based Operating Systems, including Vista and WinCE, along with Linux.
Due to the fact that many laptops and PCs no longer come with a Serial port, these USB to Serial Hubs can be very useful for such applications as SCADA. In addition, Field Service Technicians can use this solution for troubleshooting or programming industrial instrumentation from their laptop.
