Pepperl+Fuchs releases DeviceNet Gateways
November 24, 2007 - TWINSBURG, OH – Pepperl+Fuchs’ introduces two new DeviceNet Gateways in K20 housing styles. These DeviceNet Gateways are available in single or dual channel versions, and connect AS-Interface to upper level controllers. They are cUL listed to simplify panel construction for North American-based machine builders and users.

DeviceNet Gateways from Pepperl+Fuchs provide strong diagnostic capabilities while supporting polled I/O and Change of State (COS) operations. Additional features include detected slave display, visual fault diagnostics, support for analog I/O, and the ability to network safety devices such as e-stops and light curtains up to Category 4.

These DeviceNet Gateways handle the complete data transfer, cyclically polling all participants connected to the wiring system. The gateway can be placed anywhere in the AS-Interface segment. Single channel gateways can handle hundreds of inputs and outputs connected to up to 62 addressable I/O modules. Dual channel gateway offers even more I/O capabilities, by supporting twice as many I/O nodes.

Pepperl+Fuchs is a world leader in the design, manufacture and application of high quality factory and process automation products and services. Pepperl+Fuchs pioneered the development of proximity sensors 45 years ago, and has set the standard for innovation and quality ever since.
