Phoenix Contact expands range of Circular Connectors
November 27, 2007 - MIDDLETOWN, Pa. - Phoenix Contact’s line of circular connectors now include M16, M17, M18, M23, M27, M40 and M58, in addition to the M5, M8 and M12 already available.

The power and signal connectors come in multiple housing styles and locking options, offering design flexibility. Housing styles include straight or angled cable connectors, couplers, panel feedthrough receptacles, and direct pcb-mount receptacles. Locking options such as metric screw thread, bayonet and SPEEDCON are available. In addition to the connectors, molded cables are available for the M16, M23 and M27 types.

The through-wall connections supply energy and enable users to control and monitor devices in a variety of automation applications. Compared with hard-wired connections, the pluggable connectors allow faster machine start-up, eliminate wiring errors during installation and provide quick disconnect when repairs are needed.

The connectors are UL- and CSA-listed and assure IP65/IP67 and IP68 ratings when mated.

Phoenix Contact is a world leader in electrical connection, electronic interface and industrial automation technologies. Phoenix Contact USA, located in Middletown, Pa., is a subsidiary of Phoenix Contact GmbH & Co. KG of Blomberg, Germany, which operates 40 subsidiaries and employs more than 8,400 people around the world. The company’s Integrated Management Systems include a formal Quality, Environmental and Safety program that meets International Standards Organization’s (ISO) requirements (ISO 9001: 2000, ISO 14001: 2004 and OHSAS 18001:1999).
