LONDON, ON, November 28, 2007 – JMP Engineering announced today a plan to open an office in one of North America’s fastest growing cities and economies – Edmonton, Alberta.

Alberta’s booming economy has ranked the province in first place for the Canadian Competitiveness Award – an award presented to the province leading in economic growth based on the number capital projects and expansions taking place.

With such growth, the decision to open the new branch office was clear for it allows JMP to further service existing customers expanding in the region, support partners with specific system integration needs, and fulfill the growing demands of new customers in the food, manufacturing, and oil and gas industries.

“This new location represents another step forward in our mission to service customers locally in key business centres across North America, while leveraging the specialized capabilities of the company as a whole,” says Scott Shawyer, JMP President and CEO. He added, “We continue to experience strong demand for our services and are very much looking forward to contributing to Alberta’s continued growth.”

The company, headquartered in London, Ontario and specializing in automation, control and information solutions, sees Edmonton as an ideal location for its seventh Canadian branch office. JMP plans to open the new office early in 2008.
