IEI launches PCIE-Q350 PICMG 1.3 CPU card and IMB-Q354 microATX industrial motherboard
Taipei, Taiwan – December 10, 2007 - IEI Technology Corp., the leading industrial computer system provider, today announced the launch of the PCIE-Q350 PICMG 1.3 CPU card and IMB-Q354 microATX industrial motherboard. The Intel Q35 Express Chipset is integrated into both the PCIE-Q350 and IMB-Q354 and is interfaced through a scalable 1333/1066/800 MHz front side bus (FSB) to an Intel Core Duo processor or a future 45nm core Intel processor.

Improved data throughputs and increased power efficiency of the Intel Q35 Express Chipset make the PCIE-Q350 and IMB-Q354 ideal for integration into applications with high data transmission rates including surveillance systems, automation control systems, and high-end measurement and data acquisition equipment.

Remote system boot, control, asset management and smart network security management are facilitated on the IEI PCIE-Q350 and IMB-Q354 by the Intel Active Management Technology (Intel AMT) integrated on the Intel Q35 Express Chipset. The enhanced hardware-based isolation and recovery feature in Intel AMT 3.0 combined with popular third-party management and security applications ensures IT management staff can better discover, heal, and protect their networked computing assets and thereby reduce IT management costs dramatically.ders in sophisticated retail applications.

Additional Intel Q35 Express Chipset features integrated on the IEI PCIE-Q350 and IMB-Q354 include a PCI Express 1.1 interface, Intel Graphic Media Accelerator 3100 and Intel Rapid Recover Technology.

IEI CEO Teddy Kuo said, “IEI’s dedication and commitment to developing leading edge industrial computing products is clearly illustrated with the release of the PCIE-Q350 and IMB-Q354. The integrated Intel Q35 Express Chipset makes these boards product leaders in the high-end computer application market. Both the PCIE-Q350 and IMB-Q354 are easily integrated into high data throughput applications such as surveillance systems and gaming.”

Intel's Troy Smith, director of ICA said "Intel feels the launch of the IEI Q35 for embedded industrial systems is an exciting development. We anticipate the high speed and feature reach product offering will have significant impacts in the data transmission market section as well as in sophisticated applications such as surveillance, gaming and multimedia control systems.
