| SME publishes 2008 publications catalog |

DEARBORN, Mich., March 5, 2008 - The Society of Manufacturing Engineers (SME) announced its new downloadable 2008 SME Publications Catalog. Manufacturing engineers and other practitioners can now have immediate access to this comprehensive catalog, which features more than 370 books, DVDs, study packages and CD-ROM products for purchase.
"Thousands of manufacturing engineers, designers, managers, practitioners, certification candidates, and lean champions rely on SME as their number one source for advancing manufacturing knowledge," said SME Executive Director and General Manager Mark C. Some highlights of the Catalog's 20 new products include DVDs on manufacturing's hot topics such as What Lean Means, Incorporating Lean from the Factory to Front Office, Medical Applications of Rapid Prototyping, Minimum Quantity Lubrication and Advanced Robotic Welding; the Fundamentals of Tool Design Video Series; and books such as Walking the Talk: Moving into Leadership by Michael Termini, Fundamentals of Composites Manufacturing: Materials, Methods, and Applications, 2nd Edition by A. Brent Strong, as well as the newly-released, Story of a Lean Journey by James K. Lewis.
