Anoka, MN - March 17, 2008 - Hoffman introduces the Type 4X Stainless Steel Wall-Mount Enclosure painted with a white polyester powder finish inside and out to reduce solar radiation absorption and keep internal components cooler. Its rugged stainless steel construction provides industry-leading protection for housing electrical components and controls in outdoor and corrosive environments, while the white polyester finish delivers excellent thermal management at a lower cost.
Hoffman’s Painted Type 4X Stainless Steel Wall-Mount Enclosure offers the same durability of the company’s standard 14-gauge Type 304 stainless steel offerings, and its white finish ensures the internal enclosure temperature is up to 10 degrees lower than that of a traditional stainless steel enclosure in identical environments. This single-door enclosure features continuously welded, ground smooth seams, with no holes or knockouts, and its data pocket is constructed of high-impact thermoplastic. The enclosure additionally offers Hoffman’s exclusive Type 316L stainless steel small POWERGLIDE Padlocking Handle with internal 3-point latching. This combination ensures the enclosure is secure and water-tight while allowing easy access to internal components.

Plus, the new Painted Type 4X Stainless Steel Wall-Mount Enclosure meets the following industry standards: Underwriters Laboratories (UL) 508A, UL508; UL Type 3R, 4, 4X and 12; National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA)/EEMAC Type 3R, 4, 4X, 12 and 13; and Canadian Standards Association (CSA) C22.2 No. 94 Type 4, 4X and 12.
