March 27, 2008 - The Mobotix M22 is a professional megapixel network camera with the flexibility to accept a combination of different lenses for indoor and outdoor imaging under day or night conditions. Lenses from Super wide-angle (90°) to telephoto (15°) are available. This combined with 4X digital zoom, 3 Megapixel image sensor and frame rates up to 30 fps at VGA resolution provide an extremely versatile platform for either security or process monitoring applications.
Mobotix has increased the processor power for the M22 which now supports 30 frames per second at VGA resolution, whilst keeping bandwidth utilisation below 2Mbits per second, with Exposure time: 1 lux at 1/60 second, 0.05 lux at 1 second.
A built in microphone and speaker with all audio functionalities (Voice over IP and SIP telephony with simultaneous video) provides both two way communications and lip sync audio.
Mounting of the M22 is simple with a universal wall/ceiling mount with concealed cable guide via RJ45 flush-mounted power connector included. The M22 also supports the full 802.3af Power over Ethernet (PoE) standard so it can be powered from any PoE switch. As with all Mobotix IP cameras the live viewing and recording management software suite is included with the cameras and requires no additional licensing fees.
Mobotix megapixel IP cameras feature IP65 rating and have one of the lowest failure rates of any camera manufacturer on the market.
