Festo Energy Monitoring Package GFDM is a combination of Festo products offering the following:

  • Determination and analysis of air demands
  • Continuous monitoring and measurement of air consumption, air flow, and air pressure
  • Reduction of electrical energy consumption used to manufacture compressed air

Energy Monitoring GFDM increases the service life of equipment via efficient maintenance planning and continuous monitoring of compressed air consumption and flow rates.

    Benefits
  • Easily integrated - stand-alone system causes no disruption to the installation
  • Flexible – monitor up to 16 different process sequences with one GFDM system
  • Decentralized display using an optional SCADA system
  • Simple operation – intuitive teach-in function included
  • Autonomous – Perform monitoring either directly at the machine or remotely

    Valuable Savings
  • Save on compressed air usage - any sign of leakage is automatically detected as in increase over the reference data created during an optimized machine state which is continuously used for comparison and evaluation..
  • Save on Electrical Energy - Leakages and unwanted use of air can be reduced resulting in savings of electrical energy anywhere from 20 to 60%.

    Monetary Benefits

    OEMs
  • Use the GFDM as a portable diagnostic tool from machine to machine
  • Rate machines to be operated at optimum pressure and flow rates
  • Sell machines more competitively with full knowledge of consumption figures

    End-Users
  • Eliminate inefficient leak detection programs
  • Check on unwanted loss of compressed air
  • Prevent catastrophic failures; maintain productivity
  • Easy and transparent equipment maintenance schedule
