FANUC Robotics hosts Intelligent Robotic Applications Forum
Lake Forest, Cal., April 10, 2008 – FANUC Robotics America, Inc. will demonstrate its latest intelligent robotic solutions for assembly, arc welding, bin picking, packaging, palletizing, machine tending and painting at FANUC Robotics’ SMART Center in Lake Forest, Cal., April 23-24, from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

“This event is the perfect opportunity for companies to learn about our most recent robotic technologies, and how they can be applied to achieve higher levels of quality, efficiency and cost-savings,” said Rush LaSelle, general manager, FANUC Robotics West SMART Center.

“Attendees will have the opportunity to meet with our automation experts as well as our integration partners to discuss their own manufacturing challenges,” added LaSelle. “We’re prepared to address the needs of a variety of industries including: metals, plastics, food, pharmaceuticals, medical, clean rooms, solar and fuel cells, to name a few.”

The event will combine robot system demonstrations, informative seminars and hands-on training labs featuring the LR Mate 200iC ‘LEAN’ robot (light, efficient, accurate and nimble), and iRVision products including examples of 2D and 3D robotic vision applications. In addition, FANUC Robotics will demonstrate the new M-10iA material handling robot, M-430iA high-speed picking robot, ARC Mate 100iC arc welding robot, P-250iA industrial coating robot, force sensing, offline programming, and simulation.

We’re looking forward to meeting with current and potential robot users,” said LaSelle. “The seminar will cover the basics of robot operations, programming, workcell planning, and the return on investment (ROI) associated with robotic automation. In addition, experienced users will learn about our latest technologies including vision, force and torque sensing, and motion control.”

FANUC Robotics America, Inc. designs, engineers and manufactures industrial robots and robotic systems for a wide range of applications including arc and spot welding, material handling (machine tending, picking, packing, palletizing), material removal, assembly, paint finishing and dispensing. The company also provides application-specific software, controls, vision products, and complete support services.
